I was exercising once and realized that it was so...pointless. I wasn't really getting my HR up--I was simply trying to burn calories. I wasn't getting stronger. I wasn't proud of my body anymore. I was exhausted all the time. I decided to let myself have a break. If I were giving any other person advice on fitness, I would tell them to take a rest day, so why should I be any different? I can't believe it took me so long to figure that out.
