Does anyone else find themselves rotating between the same few meals, the same snacks, the same safe flavours and brands every day? Does your eating disorder tell you it's okay because you're getting the calories you need- even though actually, it's not letting you enjoy TASTE and TEXTURE and all those things you cut out when you got ill?

So let's chronicle the new things we're introducing into our diets  Today I bit back and had baked beans, which not only I hadn't eaten when I was ill, I hadn't eaten before EVER. And they were really good.

Your turn.

I was going to pick up some chocolate flavored soy milk (I'm lactose intolerant so I'm not avoiding dairy- it just really doesn't like me).

Yup, yup, yup & yup. I was even too fearful to try a different flavoured 'Muller Rice'- Just sticking to the vanilla custard ones & when I attempted a different one it would cause a panic attack! The other night I though, "This is madness!" so ate and enjoyed a raspberry one.

And tonight it was apple :)

Next I need to try something altogether different from muller rice!

I love the plain ones, but try blueberry too- they're lush.

When you move outwards from muller rice try the little pots of Ambrosia Custard. Or, Total greek yoghurt, which is amazing and you can put toppings onto it. It comes in loads of different varieties of fat content- 0%, 2%, all the way up to normal. Start yourself up on little pots of 0% to get used to it and move on up the Total ladder- I'm just about to start on 2%

Slow and steady wins the race! :)

Tomorrow I'm going to try some tasty-looking fish ball things, which my mum put me off when she found they contained MSG. Even if I don't like the taste as a result of this, I shouldn't be scared of trying them.

Coffee is gooooood :)

Yesterday I added capers to the tomato sauce for my pasta, they were so good.

However I'd like to ask your advice. Do you think its okay that I don't have normal pasta, instead I have egg or rice noodles or gluten-free pasta? I'm not actually cutting anything out via doing this, in fact with egg noodles I'm getting more protein, and the calories are the same. Its just that these are less stodgy than normal pasta and this makes it way easier for me to deal with.

Is this okay...? Or should I be eating pasta because... that's just what people do?

If it's honestly not a calorie/ number based/ eating disordered decision I really see nothing wrong with it. If somebody gave you a plate of pasta would you panic/ feel unable to eat it?

Today I ate radishes. I don't know why but recently I get a bit freaked at the idea of trying new things. I guess they were okay, they didn't taste of much. :)

"Normal" people make decisions all the time about what they prefer to eat, whether based on taste or texture. I don't like corned beef, but I will eat ham or turkey. I think you are making good decisions that allow you to eat with pleasure. Keep up the good work!
