This is to remind people that just because you might have slipped, or even fallen flat on your face with the eating disorder, there is always hope. There are new moments every minute of the day. Instead of saying, I'll do better tomarrow, why not treat this moment as a new oppurtunity to do the next right thing.

This isn't a place to write about what you did that was eating disordered or unhealthy, it's a place to focus on what you need to do RIGHT NOW, in THIS MOMENT that will be helpful and recovery oriented.

So, what is YOUR next right thing?

Think about it, learn about it, and try to think of another way to go. Always remembering that tomorrow is a new day to keep on trying. We don't have to be perfect in recovery, we just have to always keep trying.

To forget the restriction/binging/purging incident that occurred today and start a fresh now. Not tomorrow. Now.

to eat a nice breakfast and actually be productive today. Don't use the aches and pains as an excuse to sleep the day away (and in turn avoid eating).

To ask the kitchen staff for more weet-bix but have a different cereal this morning.
(They replenish the kitchen when we are in group)

Now that I managed to pass another medical, the next right thing is to continue my mealplan, and IGNORE the attitude of 'yes! I CAN outsmart them, to have gained enough to pass and then go right back down since the coast is clear!' The next right thing is to prove my therapist and GP wrong, who think this is what I am going to do.

I was debating about going and fixing my evening snack, but now that I've read this thread I feel obliged to. :)
So, the next right step is to go find an apple or banana.
