Has anyone used this site before?
I made a simple search on google and that was the first link that came up. I saw on the bottom of the page a link to another question. It was ridiculous. I browsed around the eating disorders section (where the question was obviously categorized in) and found the most ridiculous questions, half of the time, given ridiculous answers!
"If you are 5' 7 and weigh 185 pounds how long should you starve yourself to get down to 120 pounds? "
"How can you buy ipecac without your parents noticing if you don't have a car?"
"How long after beginning bulimic behavior will you see its effects?"
I didn't know that was something to strive to see...I sure as hell hate when I get the effects of purging..
"How do you lose weight fast if you're 14 and 5'7'' weigh 123 pounds and want to starve yourself? "
"Can you look better in your bikini if you starve yourself or eat nothing for two weeks? "
A reply to this was: "ignore it! keep busy, do something, keep moving, even if you feel hungry, think of it as the fact you're feeling lighter!! "
"How do you become anorexic in 1 month?"
A response: "this might help you out a little bit. all you have to do is not eat anything but just drink water ad if you have something with fruits in it like yogurt you should eat that.
"How much does a bulimic throw up at one time after eating a regular dinner?"
Response: Well, personally, I throw up as much food as is humanly possible after a meal, basically, until my throat aches and nothing else comes out.
I am horrified by this. Are there not moderators for this site? ugh. okay, done.

The problem with wiki answers is its not filtered.
You will find that those questions will get deleted eventually but they are usualy up for long enough to get answered unfortunately.
I usualy steer clear of wikianswers if im looking for something because of this crap. I also find that half of the information is useless, as is wikipedia (which can be edited by anyone, anytime).
Yahoo answers is filtered a bit better I think but even still.
I believe on yahoo you can "report" questions if you dont like them but im not sure if wiki has the same thing. If it doesnt it damn well should.

UGH!!!! Yeah, I've found that Yahoo is better & you tend to get better answers anyway. Yikes.
