This is a witty article poking fun at fashion magazine articles that classify women based on artificial shape categories and give fashion advice. Funny and smart.

I am on my phone so I can't read the article. I do believe in dressing for your shape. Not changing your shape for your dress.

LOL brilliant! I never know what shape I am! I'm short.... with a tiny waist, big tits and an even bigger arse. What's that? Jigsaw shaped I think.

^^
The article basically makes the argument that the "shapes" named in beauty magazine articles don't resemble real women's bodies and make women feel worse about not fitting neatly into these classifications. And even if a woman does fit into one of the body shape types, it's all about hiding "negative" aspects.

woot woot. Thanks.
I love me a summary.
they're definitely generalized categories. My sister and I have always given each other our own names.
I call her the Betty Boop shape and she calls me a beanpole with a badonk

LOL! My friends and I call our bums "badonkadonk" all the time. Haha.

I love the article. I do believe in dressing in what suits YOUR shape but not by classification (aka apple, pear, bla, bla). So it made me giggle. [:

And oh MAN I want to watch the Snorks now.

I can never figure it out either...but for the exact opposite reasons! Average height, broad shoulders, not much for boobs at all, even less of an ass...yet somehow manage to have kinda wide hips, a long torso but not much of a waist! Jigsaw 'category' here I come lol

Ha this made me laugh because I'm a tall, thin hourglass. Usually 'hourglasses' are 'heavy' according to mags. I'm sorry, even 10kilos underweight i had D cup boobs and size 10 hips!

The trinny and sussannah classifications are ok...

Brilliant. Love it.

I never knew what "body shape" I had anyways. I'm tall and small breasted but definitely not "boyish" hmmm....

Yes, I've seen an article of this kind in Cosmo ( it wasn't mine okay?.. :-? ) and I did think "so every shape has it's negative side?" It was like they. wouldnt. let. us. be. happy.

"Are you skinny? Oh no worries! Hide booblessnes with strapless tops."
me: ....:? What's wrong with having flat chest... Some are just destined to
have small breasts.
"Are you fat? Oh just wear baggy tops, those that hide your belly!"
me: :-? ..... Is it that disgusting to show my belly?... Am I not allowed to wear tight shirt even if it jiggles and shows my bump? Is that so unaesthetic?

It's head-achy.
