bad taste.

i would find it offensive if i went to a party and a friend was wearing that as their costume.

I saw the news article and looked for the picture. I think it is disgusting. It also hurts my feelings.

I hate it. And I hate how it is in the "sexy" category of costumes. How is anorexia "sexy" ?

would they make a bullimia one? with a toilet attatched and sick or something? no.

would they make an alcoholic costume, someone who cannot pull themselves up from rock bottom.

what about a junkie?

what about a cancer patient?

That's repulsive, and I really hope nobody buys/wears that. That disgusts me.

That is sick. I don't understand how someone could glamorize this disease like that. I don't understand how some people could be so thoughtless. Do they think it's funny or something?

That really upset me. I'm gonna email them.

Ok, this is what I wrote:

To whom it may concern,

I am writing to express my disgust at the costume you are selling called "Anna Rexia". As a sufferer of this terrible disease I found it extremely offensive that you are glamorizing it in this way. I do not understand why you would sell such a costume, or indeed, why anyone would come up with the design. It is tasteless and insensitive. Anorexia is not sexy or funny. It is a painful and deadly illness, that I would not wish upon anybody.

Yours sincerely,

Alexandra King

It's just stupid. It's just a skeleton. They thought, by naming it Anna Rexia, they were being clever. They obviously couldn't come up with any cutesy skeleton names.

Explain the measuring tape around the waist.

On the one hand...I think this could be a fun costume if it was JUST a skeleton costume. (What can I say...I love those silly, uber-slutty halloween costumes. I went as a french maid last year when me and my friend went trick-or-treating for UNICEF. The reactions we got were hilarious.)

On the other hand...yes. It's in terribly bad taste. Anorexia is neither funny nor sexy. Awful idea.

I find this distasteful, but I could have been worse.
When I showed my mom- she said:
"oh cute- a skeleton costume!"

So at least it isn't THAT noticable.
But I do still find it tacky!
