I read about this. Apparently he did this more to make a point than anything else. The guy even admitted that under this law he wouldn't be allowed to eat out. So he knew it wouldn't pass but that it would make the news. To me, even the the idea of a law like that is offensive and stupid, the fact that he knew it wasn't going to pass and was using it as a way of getting his point across seems rather interesting and somewhat intelligent if you stop and think about it without just reacting.

Fukuana, I think that people can no longer sue fast food places for making them fat! I think I read that it is a law now that they cannot do that. Yay, less frivolous lawsuits!

I think it was about how serious the obesity issue is becoming there. He more of wanted to draw people's attention to their health. Maybe he just wanted people to realise that maybe there is problem. I can't remember exactly.(Sorry fukuana my brain is taken over by meds induced sleepiness ) But I believe that he probably just wants people in his state to pay better attention to their health.(I know not every obese person is unhealthy, but many are and I think there is still abit of denial about that and he was trying to bring attention to it the best he could)
