Mattel's new Model Muse Barbie. But jeez, this new Barbie is just scary.
I'm linking to the blog I first found it on. But there are many new Barbies using thise body type now apparently and they are being sold everywhere.

No, it's because they trimmed the rest of her down to nothing and lft the head the normal Barbie size.

OMG! Those dolls are just so gross! I mean what kind of message is that sending out to young female children. First of all, well you've got to be the size of a pencil, if you want to be popular, fit in and be a cheerleader; then of course you must go round in the minimum of clothing just about designed to cover the bare essentials. Yep, the message is loud and clear to me. It's sexualising and yet defeminising girls, and telling them them have to be a certain way to fit in. Maybe I read to much into that kind of thing, but I just find those sorts of sexualised dolls, cheap and nasty.
Geezzz thank god I never had children, I'd hate for them to grow up surrounded by such crap! I mean WTF! :-? :-o

I enslaved them to my stuffed animals. I had elaborate storylines in which this happened. And then I'd cut their hair and use scissors on them.

Jeez, that makes me sound pyscho. :-) :o

Lol, no it doesn't. I had elaborate story lines too... but, they weren't with stuffed animals. However, my little beauty salon chair did turn into an electric chair where the barbies suffered for their crimes. o.0

yeah...I don't think any of us played with our barbies the way we were "supposed" to. I had Ken and Barbie having sex....because it just didn't make sense for them to have that Kelly baby if it didn't come from somewhere. :ooook:

What is it with us making all our barbies have sex, or ripping them apart!
I did the same thing =/
I always loved collecting barbie clothes... even though they almost never wore them o_o

I used to take piles and mounds of toys and barbies and dinosaur figures out into the backyard and have armies of them fighting one another, and setting up ambushes on one another =P

I also remember the day i got a barbie jeep, just the normal plastic one not a motorized one. Pushing it around was so tedious, so i started letting it go off the tops of huge hills.
Barbie car crashes are fun!

We used to tie elastic round one barbie, and stand ken up on the first floor, then from the second floor, make her bungee jump and knock him over. Then after the game was over, we'd paint bruises on them. Ha ha I thought I was the only kid who did things like that!
