How do we respond to negative advertising? Publicly complain to the company in question? Write blog entries detailing the ad and your complaints? Editorials to the press? Do these things help?

Post suggestions here.

I'm inclined to say we should post info on contacting the companies cited here to let them know if we have an issue with their tactics. As Stephen Colbert would say, put them on notice.

I don't want to see this section turn into some sort of thinspo forum pretending to be something else. :?

letters to the editors are good. I've also thought about petetions and pamphlets on ED's to put with them. If you need someone to help, I'm more than willing.

I remember a few years ago where I was walking through Paris, there was the "merde à la pub" (= "screw advertising") thing going on. they'd paint ads over with thick black paint or spraypaint real women's figures over those skinned down models.
