Personally, I love it. I think it has a fantastic message without being too heavy. I think my favourite bit is the little noise he makes when he eats the house.

I personally really hate this advert... although I see the angle I think all it does is encourage the idea that it's going to be really awkward to have this conversation and I don't think it would encourage anyone at all. I think it encourages the idea that it's better not to ask and to leave the person alone which isn't helpful at all.
I think what it leaves in your head and the message you're left with is all the "crazy" stuff that happened even though it was in his head. Is it supposed to be what the person asking is imagining will happen or is this what's happening in the mentally ill person's head or his past behaviour? Although I know the answer (it's what the questioner is fearing will happen) I really don't think it's made clear enough.

I'd be interested to know the opinion of someone who has never suffered from or had experience of mental illness as to whether this advert would encourage them to speak to someone who they knew had and whether it helps them understand mental health any better... although it's such an awkward advert I wouldn't feel able to even do that.
Youtube comments are... not a great way to well.. understand anything but I really think they back this up.. they all focus on the crazy stuff cos that's what stands out... I don't think it's a good advert at all..

I can see the point they're trying to make, but I don't really think the advert does it. Like Butterfly said, it seems to focus more on the crazy things that "could" happen. I think the comedic edge they've taken kind of distances viewers from the real purpose of the advert. I won't lie, I find it funny but I also don't sympathise with either of the people in it despite having lived in the position of each.
