hey folks,

I just received this and was asked to share it on the board. looks neat. :)

----------
"Re-capture is running a photography project giving young people the chance to capture what recovery from an eating disorder means to them, while empowering and inspiring other young people who might be suffering from an eating disorder.

The project is being run to mark Eating Disorder Awareness Week, which takes place on the 20th-26th February 2012. We would like to invite young people aged 14 to 25 to submit a photograph representing recovery, along with a short explanation of why it illustrates recovery to you.

A selection of the photographs will be chosen to be displayed in an exhibition at the Scottish Parliament for eating disorder awareness week. It is hoped that the exhibition will create a better understanding of eating disorders and the journey of recovery, while helping to tackle stereotypes and stigma attached to the illness. The photographs will then be turned into a travelling exhibition that will be available for display across Scotland, and made into an online gallery.

For more information on the project, please see the guidelines that are on the next page. You can download the application form from www.youngscotextra.org/re-capture or email re-capture@youngscot.org.

The closing date for entries is Friday 20th January 2012.

Good Luck,

Re-capture"

Guidelines for submitting photographs
Photographs should represent what recovery from an eating disorder means to you.
Photographs can be in colour or black and white- it’s up to you!
Entrants must be aged 14 to 26 years old.
Photographs submitted must be your own original work
No photographs containing food, thin bodies, other triggering images or anything else deemed as inappropriate or offensive will be accepted.
If the photograph is of someone you know then you must be able to provide evidence that they have given their permission for the photograph to be used.
Photographs must be at least 300 dpi, the higher the better so remember to use the high quality setting on your camera or phone! Please make sure the file size is no more than 3MB.
When you submit your photograph it will be made available to view via an online gallery. You can choose to do so anonymously or you can be named as the photographer. You can tell us which you would prefer on the application form.
By submitting a photograph you are giving your consent for your image to be used for promotional purposes by Young Scot and Re-capture during Eating Disorder Awareness Week 2012 and by Young Scot thereafter.

I'm gonna flick through my albums to find a recent picture of me soon :3

Technically I'm ciao-ed and out-ed, but I just wanted to pop back in and say me too! Actually, I got all excited and drew all over my stomach in lip stain before realising my camera's not charged. *facepalm*. Can't wait to see them all!

Haha, I do that all the time! xD "Ooh, great photo idea *gets all dressed up*..camera's not charged..FUUUUU-"

I'm still trying to pick mine. I might get L to take a picture of me cooking, it's gotta be one of the top three things I've taken from recovery. :3
