<head desk>

Great way to trigger an eating disorder in someone... congratulations whoever the hell those people are....

So not only are they encouraging people to lose 15lbs they're encouraging them to encourage others and putting pressure on them...
No where does it mention anything about not everyone needing to lose 15lbs....

This is one of the most irresponsible things I've seen.....

and not only do they want a headshot, but also a full body shot... so looks factor into being a good intern too...

The person in the picture isn't even overweight! She looks perfectly healthy, and slim, no need for ANY weightloss let alone a whole 15lbs.

Considering you go to college at maybe 18 and could finish as late as your mid-20's if you follow on to a masters or whatever, you would be meant to gain some weight. You reach full physical maturity around 25- you can even grow heightwise up until about 21. I was probably naturally a good 10lbs or so lighter in my mid/late teens than I would be naturally now.

it encourages the whole fallacy of your personal worth being linked to your weight.

What astounds me is there is not even a mention of a minimum weight or BMI or even of having gained weight in the first place.... there's no safe guards whatsoever... it's open to anyone who wants to lose 15lbs and presuambly looks good...

I sincerly hope this is just a case of someone not thinking this through....

Considering how hard it is to find a job right now I think its a bad idea to send the message that losing weight can help you get a job/internship.

Yeah, I agree, I found that worrisome too.

Know how i've been saying how sad it is that we live in a self image obsessed world? Proof..riiiight there. Why is it everyone is convinced they'd be happy if they were 5lbs lighter? Or in this case...15lbs! It's not trueeeeeee!
