When Victoria Secret wants to run an ad for their lingerie, no problem. Canadian viewers even know the McCain ad where a woman dashes around her chic apartment in a purple bra, frantically getting ready for some appointment, while her food cooks in the microwave.

But when Lane Bryant wanted to run an ad featuring a plus sized model in lingerie, ABC and Fox made every excuse in the book to try and quash it.

You can read the article I wrote about it here: http://www.thehungryi.org/articles/2010/07/16/dont-be-such-a-boob/

Here lies the problem: A plus sized model in this industry often are labeled that simply because they are not super-skinny or emanciated. I've known people that were labeled plus sized models that were in the middle of the healthy BMI scale. However, if you are talking about people that are in the obesse catagory, obviously that is just the oher side of the coin as the extreemly underweight models. BOTH are not healthy.

It's kind of a weird thing because as mentioned so many "plus size" models are NOT obese or sometimes even overweight...
