I'm unsure of the company, but the beer ad with "Tall. Thin. Available."

The can itself is taller than a regular beer can, much smaller. Placing the words "Tall. Thin. Available." in the ad, with a woman hastily grabbing for it gives off the idea that being tall, but mainly super slim, is the only thing that will make them wanted. Personally, that's how I view it. I don't necessarily find it triggering me, but think it does portray the message that in order to be wanted/available, you must be super slim.

that's not what I get from the snippet you post... I still feel like I'm missing something...starbucks has a tall drink... a skinny drink... etc

i understand how that could send that message. at Starbucks its called skinny because of less calories. but it kinda seems like the beer ad is saying that to be wanted you should be tall and thin. i see where your coming from :)

But other beer ads also say what "a real man" is supposed to be like.... that must be annoying for men too....
Sometimes advertising is just sooo stupid.

Not only does it impose "thinness" on both genders, it insinuates that beer can replace a woman. The add is very anthropomorphic by giving human qualities to a beverage in order for it to be comparative to women.
