Harvard recently held a fashion show where the proceeds went to the charity, the Harris Center for Education and Advocacy in Eating Disorders at Massachusetts General Hospital. The fashions weren't worn by professional models, instead they were worn by students.

The bad part of this is that the guests got goodie bags. Inside these goodie bags was - and I quote - "the zero-calorie, zero-guilt beverage Skinny Water." *facepalm*

Here is the article.

Now that's kinda the ultimate contradiction, isn't it?

I trust everyone else to adequately describe my feelings on how insanely contradictory this is, so, on a lighter note.... hahaha. Their advertisers must REALLY be running out of ideas. Promoting their water as "zero-calorie"? I mean, that's so unique!! What other type of bottled water could ever be zero-calorie? *rolls eyes*

I just googled it, and the product markets itself as "a low-calorie water". I mean, this is just laughable! It's like this water bottle vending machine they used to have by the local supermarket that claimed their bottled water was "made fresh daily".

that reminds me of how they now advertise sugarfree gum as "the five calorie snack."

COME ON.

I feel sorry for anyone gullible enough to fall for that...Skinny water??! Jeez, they are runing low on advertising ideas! They should just face facts, not as many people are gonna fork out $2 a bottle for a half litre of water they can get for free in a recession...
Though if you're daft enough to fall for the zero cal stuff, you have bigger problems than lack of money!
