urgh this just makes me sad. It is disgusting. How can these people even be considered professionals.
Yet so many naive desperate people will resort to it.
If the cases are of overweight people with COE or something the like, a ridiculous physical procedure such as this would do nothing good to rectify the psychological problems which are most commonly the causes.. particularly if they just can't stop eating. they'd have temporary weight loss sure but their weight problems are bound to just get worse, for the majority at least.
GAH stupid diet industry- A PLAGUE ON YOUR HOUSE!

I don't know what to say. It's horrific and despicable, for sure.

Um, how is this even ethical to do to people? How on earth did it manage to pass any type of medical ethics board? I'm completely astounded.

WOW. I like how it says that the people have follow-up appts with a psychologist....I'm really wondering if that is needed BEFORE since they are willing to have that done!

"The patch wearer is put on a diet of 750 calories a day — about half the consumption amount suggested for the average adult female"

Er, since when has 1500 been the RDA for anybody?! It's below even the Minnesota starvation diet amount... Even the people reporting on this freaky patch have a screw loose!
