I looked at this and first I thought "Oh great, there are a lot of positive messages on those t-shirts" then there was the first shirt that said "quod me nutrit me destruit" and after that there were worse shirts, saying things like "I love my eating disorder"

I can't quite figure this site out at the moment, but maybe you can and there is a way to tell the owner of the website what's going on!

All right, some of them are indeed appalling, but let's focus on the ones that have the positive messages! I might buy one of the more positive ones myself!

the every body is beautiful is SO Renfrew

there are way more recovery ones than pro ones...

I wouldn't want to buy any of their products even if they were the positive ones because it's still supporting them to keep going with the products... Including financially supporting the pro ana ones.
Though quite honestly, I couldn't imagine anyone who would wear a pro ana shirt in public...? I mean it isn't something most people want to advertise on themselves whether they are pro ana or just have an eating disorder. It would be a little shocking to see someone walking down the street with pro sayings on their shirts a mon avis..

searching on cafepress.com looks through everyone's shop... I am sure if you looked through enough pages you would find that familoar female orange.

I'm appalled. Yes, there are some pro-recovery shirts, but directly underneath, there are "No Fat Chicks" and a Christmas card displaying a drawing a a little girl sitting on Santa's knee, with Santa saying something about the girl being heavy.

Yeah, I really hate that. For a while now, I've been thinking about creating my own shop with stuff that promotes ED awareness, with positive messages, and donating the proceeds to ED organizations.

I know no ones commented for a while, but i just have to add my two cents here.

Some of these tees are really worrying...i saw one that said "Anorexia is the new black"...I mean what kind of F*&^d up message is that???

Focus on the positive, and leave the negative propreganda to rot...it should be banned!

This one is rather funny in a disturbing way. Though more correct would be "autobolism".

Anyways. I just wanted to advertize that you can go to a crafts store and get fabric paints. And make your own shirts! It's great fun

My best friend recently got a tattoo of "quod me nutrit me destruit" on her back...should I tell her that it's a pro-ana slogan? :-?

It's not only as pro-ana slogan, right? It can have other connotations, can't it? Hopefully that's not it means to her, and if it has another meaning to her, then that's its meaning. (not really sure if any of that made sense)

As for the pro-ED shirts and the like, everything in this culture seems to be pro-ED, or pro-negative body image or something. It's sad and worrisome for people to be influenced and encouraged like they are to be 'thin'. These shirts, sadly, represent that very well.
