I need to radically accept that I look different now that I've gained weight, but it doesn't mean that I'm fat.

I need to radically accept if i don't stick to this meal plan i'll keep spiraling further..and further down, keep losing more and more weight and become ill. I need to get my head around the "it won't happen to me" milarky.

I need to radically accept that I'm unusually hungry this morning and it's okay to eat more than usual.

Revisiting the need to radically accept MAH BODY. looking just now at my reflection before i go out running [which historically has never been done without shame] there are visible 'rolls' on my torso. Oh well!! If there weren't something would be very wrong. If it was someone else's body, I wouldn't think twice about it. I could get subsumed into shame and say the hell with this idea, OR I could go rejoice in what my body can do instead of bitching about it not being someone else's body.
I've done 'radical acceptance' on this before but as i probably say in my first post - sometimes you gotta do and re-do this shit!
i feel good about it.

I radically accept that I cannot force a former friend to resume our old relationship.

I radically accept that I'm not getting any recompense for old wounds.
I radically accept that, regardless of wheter they are my own "fault" or anybody elses', my problems are my responsibilities.

I radically accept that the statement, "You don't need to be skinnier to be more perfect than you already are," does not just apply to my friends, but to me too.

I need to radically accept that I have a chronic illness that demands my attention and competent management.

I radically accept that what once was there isn't. It doesn't mean that I did something wrong, it just means that it isn't there. That is okay and I don't have to clutch onto some remote hope of a change like I have in the past.

I radically accept that temporarily being apart from my fiance may make our permanent marriage better.

Radical Acceptance is accepting that...

1. Reality is what it is
2. Everything has a cause
3. Life can be worth living even when there is pain

Remember...

• Pain + Non-Acceptance = Suffering
• It is easy to accept things you like
• It is hard to accept things you hate, disapprove of, or that cause you a lot of pain.
• The higher the pain, the harder the acceptance
• If you want things to change, accept them first, then change them
• Reality is always changing and if you want to influence how it changes, you must first accept it.

Willingness is…

• Allowing the world to be as it is
• Agreeing to participate in the world as it is
• Actively participating in reality
• What you need to overcome a threat

Wilfulness is...

• Saying NO, NO, NO
• Denying
• Pushing Away
• Avoiding

When you notice Wilfulness and learn to change it to Willingness, you will find you can move forward.
